Because of JKim645, I had the privilege of listening to an advance copy of Exile’s AM/FM Remix album and I definitely have to say, this is one project you do not want to sleep on.  Today, JK sent me his favorite track on the album which drops August 31st via Plug Research.  The song, Population Control got a remix treatment from Samiyam, who is best known for his work with Flying Lotus and the Brainfeeder Crew.  Check the jump to take a listen and download the mp3.

On August 31st, Exile will release his next album Exile Radio AM/FM on Plug Research. AM/FM is a remix album featuring various rapper/singers over the original versions of his latest album Radio, while various producers remix the original tracks. When putting together the AM/FM album, there was such a high number of remix submissions that Exile will now release a FREE BONUS album as well, dropping next week.

Germany Loves Fashawn (Video)

Story goes Fashawn, Exile and Blu are in Berlin, Germany right now for a small tour. They walk into a liquor store to get some wraps, papers, etc. Juice Magazine, a popular German-based hip hop mag just did a feature on Fashawn for his recent album, Boy Meets World but the liquor store doesn’t care. So he got kicked out.

Exile x Teeko Impromptu Jam Session @ Elbo Room (SF, CA) (Video)

Our good friend Jonathan Kim shot this video in San Francisco during Exile’s sound check for his gig at Elbo Room (which we’ve performed at before).  According to him, Exile and Teeko was jamming out as he was walking into the venue.  Teeko has been making some noise with his group F.A.M.E. as well as recently working with Mark Ronson in NY for his upcoming album and it was great to see them come together and create some amazing music together.
