Feature: I Buy New Headphones Every Year

Since high school, I was that kid that walked everywhere with a set of headphones on.  Didn’t matter if I was walking to class for 3 minutes, I had my headphones on blast, putting me in a euphoric state.  I was still a very social person but on many occasions, I just wanted to walk around while zoning out my surroundings.  Even when I was in the music hall on my way to orchestra practice, I’d still have on my music, drowning out the sounds of the gospel choir (while checking out all the girls, of course).  But this trend continued on through college, maybe even peaking then.  In Buffalo, headphones allowed me to keep my ears warm while satisfying my music appetite so on many occasions however, people would ask me, “What are you listening to?”  But unfortunately, this question was not that easy to answer.

If you know me, you’ll know I find all types of music interesting.  Yes, I do have a very picky palette and don’t like to saturate my collection with nonsense but every genre has some appeal to me, some more than others.  Here are just a few artists I’ve picked that get heavy rotation on my iPod in the past few weeks.
